  • One of the most popular screening methods today is Medical Ultrasound (Ultrasonography), which is used to view internal body structures and internal organs.
  • Ultrasonography is preferred by hospitals over other screening methods like MRI and CT scans because it is usually more effective, flexible, safer, faster and saves costs.
  • According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the employment demand of diagnostic medical sonographers is projected to increase by 44% between 2010 and 2020.
  • Many hospitals have been offering sponsorships/scholarships to health professionals (doctors, nurses, radiographers, biotechnologists, etc.) and fresh graduates to learn and be equipped with the sonography skills
  • Vision College Malaysia and ASUM (Australasian Society for Ultrasound Medicine) have collaborate to offer the Postgraduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasonography (ASIA) to supply the industry with the quality sonography skills required.
