Lecturers
Vision arranges a group of lecturers that come with different skills. Medical is a field where students benefit from learning different expertise from different teachers. We highlight several of our dedicated teachers.

Dr Idrus Mohamad - Consultant Radiologist (second from right)
Dr Idrus is our Consultant Radiologist. He provides guidance in various capacities including supervising the clinical training of our students and teaching our students on abdomen and small parts. Dr Idrus was previously attached to Penang General Hospital where he served as the Head of Department in the Radiology Unit. He then contributed to the profession at Assunta Hospital. Currently, he continues to be attached to HUKM supervising Radiologist Trainees. He brings with him a wealth of experience in ultrasonography..
Christopher Sykes
Christopher is a senior sonographer with i-Med/MIA in Melbourne and has an interest in vascular and MSK ultrasound. He has authored two educational CD’s on MSK sonography and has presented a number of papers at national and international meetings. Christopher is a member of the board of examiners for the DMU and is a member of ASAR council. He is currently completing a masters degree in law, and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.

Roger Gent - Visiting Lecturer
Roger Gent is the Chief Sonographer for Children's Hospital in Adelaide, Australia. Roger visits Malaysia frequently as a lecturer and superviser on numerous occassions. He is the author of the Physics book - Diagnostic Ultrasound, which is used as a reference book in the DMU (Asia) programme.
Roger is renowned in teaching Physics of Ultrasound which is instrumental in the learning of ultrasound. He is also recognised as a leading expert in the field of paediatrics ultrasound. Roger is a Council Member of the DMU Board of Examiners for the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM).

Lynette Hassall
She worked in the Ultrasound field since 1990 until 2005 when she was appointed Ultrasound Course co-ordinator at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) . In July 2006 she moved to the Australian Institute of Ultrasound in Mermaid Beach as Senior Sonographer/Educator, but continue as a visiting lecturer at both Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and University of Queensland (UQ). She is a member of both the Australian Sonographers Association (ASA) where she serves on the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, and the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM). She has been a DMU examiner for ASUM since 2000. She is DMU qualified, an Accredited Medical Sonographer (AMS), and has completed a Masters in Learning Innovation (MLI) in 2007. She has been an invited speaker at various Ultrasound conferences throughout Australia, and is a convenor for SIG2008, to be held on the Gold Coast in September 2008.
