• Patients are required to fast at least 8 hours before coming in for a scan.
  


• Patients are allowed to drink plain water only before the ultrasound scan.
  


• Patients are to be scanned by a few trainee Sonographers before being confirmed by a clinical sonographer.
  


• Hence, patients are expected to be in the centre for about 2-3 hours.
