Vision College > Student Affairs > Student Activities

There is a time when all of us want to just have fun. Vision strives to provide a balance between academic rigour and also having some fun with fellow peers. Our classes are usually closely-knitted where close friendships are forged among classmates. From time to time, Vision provides practical experience and associations with healthcare groups so that our students can see how it is like to work in the real-world.

Orientation

Wow! It’s a new start for the Diploma Health Science students, VISIONary freshmen from all over the country gathered here to begin their new journey to become a professional Sonographer.

The newbies of the college came for their registration day on the 4th of May 2009 and had a week long orientation. Ice breaking was essential for the newbies to feel at home. The seniors went right to work and made the ice breaking session fascinating and fun by creating a warm atmosphere to welcome their little siblings.

Crazy games were carried out and one of the exciting game was BALLOONS. Watching all of them gave their best shot to step their ‘enemies’ balloons and also trying their very best to protect their own balloon. The lecture hall was filled with the laughter and screams of the students. At the end of the game session, parts and pieces of colorful balloons were scattered all over the lecture hall and, well, part and parcel of growing up is accepting responsibility and the students did their part to clean up as well. :)

Another great part of the orientation was the freshies got the chance to do shopping with their seniors in Time Square Kuala Lumpur. As most of the students are from other states, this little trip turned into an adventure for them as the seniors took them all on a joyride around Kuala Lumpur with public transport. This was also to expose the students around Kuala Lumpur so that it will be easier for them to move around during their years of study in the Klang Valley.

A BBQ party was organized on the last day of the orientation week. The seniors spent the day preparing food and drinks that were fit of a king for the students. Staffs of the college were invited as well. Imagine a BBQ by the pool with 25 screaming 18-20 year olds, most of which are girls! Yes, it was a very enjoyable evening indeed.

For those of you who are curious on what more do we have to offer, come join us in our series of Road Shows in East Malaysia on the month of June. See you there!
