Programme Info

Medical Imaging is the technique and process by which images of the human body are created for clinical purposes. Such images are used in medical procedures to reveal and diagnose or examine diseases.  The images are also useful in the field of medical science, which includes the study of normal anatomy and physiology.

Medical imaging is one of the more innovative professions in healthcare as it utilizes high-tech medical systems which have seen significant advancement in recent years. This medical equipment is operated by radiographers to diagnose patients with high accuracy in order to identify and stage the ailment so that proper treatment can be rendered.

Diploma of Medical Imaging is a 3-year programme which prepares graduates to enter the workforce in the healthcare industry as a radiographer. Radiographers work in hospitals as an imaging specialist, providing services in diagnosing illnesses with their vast knowledge in healthcare technology and good interpersonal skills. With an additional year to study the Postgraduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasonography (Asia) at Vision College, students are further equipped with ultrasound
knowledge and become qualified as both a sonographer as wellas a radiographer.
